George's will leaves a portion of "Caty's" (Catharines) inheritance to her son John Andy. This is clearly not refering to Christina - but Catharine (see will near the bottom of the post). I'm guessing that Christina and Catharine married brothers - need to look into that - and that Catharines husband died, she then remarried to Daniel Mowery.
The only baptismal records found for any children are for sons Paulus, George, and Johannes. The source for the birth and baptism of Geore and Paulus, and the baptism of Johannes are from the Jordan Reformed Church in Northampton County, Pennsylvania which is the origin of both George Sr. and Anna Margareta. In a 1789 Tax exoneration list for Weisenburg, Northampton County Pa, George Gromlich is listed with 140 as. land 63 validation, 2 horses 15 validation, 1 cattle 3 validation.
on the previous page of the same record, we find Valentine Gromlich -
Although this record appears to say "with George", I believe that is the last name - possibly George Wilth? A quick look through the records shows that surname appears a few times.

The numbers differ here, leading me to believe this is for different years, however I can find no mention of years on the record pages.
1789 - Son Paul Cromley is Born
"Paulus Gramlich was baptized in 1789 and both his father and brother Johannes/John both moved to Montour County from Northampton County by at least 1830 and both anglicized their surname from Krammlich/Gramlich to Cromley/Crumley. On the 1860 Montour County census cited below we find a Paul Cromley, shoemaker, in Montour County age 71, which would put his birthdate in 1789. This document is the source for the approximate birth year and location for Catharine. The 16 year old Amanda Cromley residing in the household is a teenager of uncertain relationship, though very likely the daughter of Peter Cromley as Amanda appears twice on the 1860 Montour County census, the second time in a lineup with the children of this Peter Cromley, also a man of uncertain relationship to Paul and Catharine. It is unlikely that he would be their son as his abt 1804-1805 birth year would make Paul and Catharine parents at ages 16 and 11 respectively. " - Neil Rutman, DMA
There is an unsourced marriage of Paul Gramlich to a Catharine Knerr born abt. 1802 on Family Search. The above baptisms give credibility, but not proof, to this marriage.

1791 - Daughter Elizabeth "Betsey" Cromley is born
In George's will, Betsey is listed as married to "Philip Kinder". I'm fairly certain this is Philip GUINTER. I find Philip & Elizabeth Guinter in the 1850 census in Wolf Twp, Lycoming County Pa. Again they are listed on the death certificate of their daughter Hannah, and they are buried in Hughesville, Lycoming County Pa. Her tombstone gives her birth date as 13 May 1791 Death Date: 6 Oct 1856. Philip is buried beside her. The stones are flat in the ground.
1797 - Son John Cromley Is Born
"A John Cromley (Johannes) born 1795-1796 appears on the 1850, 1860, 1870 and 1880 Montour County census records which is most likely Johannes Gramlich, given the change of spelling of the first name, in spite of the census records consistently listing him two years younger than the birthdate of 1793 that Ms. Hornick gives him above. It should be noted, however, that Johannes is the only son who does not have a proper baptismal date from the Jordan Reformed Church. See notes under Johannes. " - Neil Rutman, DMA
John Cromley married Sarah Hess. Cemetery records (union cemetery in Catawissa) give his date of birth as about 1793, although his tombstone and census records put his birth at about 1797. Their children, from the census and death certificate records, include Nancy, Sarah, Fanny, Christiana, Juliana, David, Lidia, & John.
In 1850, a 19 year old Chrisiana Cromley appears at the end of the census listing, beside a Thomas Krum. The Krum family is listed next in the census. Christiana Cromley born 1831 married a Krum.There is also a Jesse Cromley right beside John in the 1850 census. Age 30 - possibly a son of John?
Moved to Columbia (Now Montour) County Pa -
From researcher Neil Rutman - "Page 56 of the Hornick book ("Musick Family from Lomersheim, Wurttemberg in Germany to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Related Lines." Patricia Musick Hornick, Nov 2011) suggests that George and Anna Margaret Musick Gramlich moved to Danville in Montour County and that no other information was found by her.
Further evidence that this George moved to Montour County is an excerpt from 'Pioneer period and Pioneer people of Fairfield County, Ohio.' Columbus, Ohio: F.J. Heer Printing Co., 1991. In this source on page 289 it talks about Valentin Gramlich (Crumley) of Weissenberg township, Northampton County and his children. It says "... He was the father of five children, viz., George, who died near Danville, Penn... Gramlich soon became Crumley."

While searching for more information on the Cromley's, I came across a family tree on ancestry that listed George Cromley as the father of Christina. There was no source given, but I messaged the tree owner, and received this wonderful reply, which has been the basis for all of my research here today:

Sources Are hard to post on Ancestry when they dont fit into their format. I copy and paste my notes for both Christina Cromley and her parents George Cromley and Anna Margareta Musick (I am related to the Musick side). You will note that the name was originally Gramlich and/or variations on that spelling and at some point in the early 19th century the family anglicized it to Cromley. Bu you probably already know that. :)

RESEARCH NOTES FOR GEORGE GRAMLICH/CROMLEY AND WIFE ANNA MARGARETA MUSICK
All children listed here are named in the 1823 will of George Gramlich/Cromley except George, who probably died early and for whom an authentic baptismal record in Northampton County is known.
The chronological listing of the children is based on the sources found under their own research notes. Only Mary and Margaret are not sourced for birth years and are most likely NOT the last two children.

An additional source is "Musick Family from Lomersheim, Wurttemberg in Germany to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Related Lines." Patricia Musick Hornick, Nov 2011. This book enters no data without documenting it from primary sources such as Church, civil, court, cemetery, and military records.
According to the Hornick book cited above The Jordan Reformed Church Records of Northampton County lists the birth and baptisms of the three children of George Gramlich and Anna Margareta Musick. George Gramlich is listed as a farmer in Northampton County PA Deeds, 1752-1866.
Page 56 of the Hornick book cited above suggests that George and Anna Margaret Musick Gramlich moved to Danville in Montour County and that no other information was found by her.

The source for the marriage of Paul Gramlich/Cromley is strong circumstantial evidence based upon the 1860 Montour County census, and perhaps supporting documents from baptisms in Northampton County. While there is a margin of error in this supporting evidence, it appears strong enough for me to conclude that Paul's wife was a Catharine of unknown surname.

The following baptisms were performed much earlier in the century - 1808-1816 - for three children of a Paul Gramlich and Catharine (David, Catharine, and Thomas) in Northampton County, where they would have resided at the time. While this Paul and Catharine are very likely the same couple as on the 1860 census cited above, caution should be exercised as Paul would have been 19 and Catharine 14 for the first 1808 baptism. Not impossible in that era, or in ours for that matter, but caution should nevertheless be exercised in categorically connecting these records with the 1860 couple until further documentation surfaces. This first baptism record is the source for the loose 'bef. 1808' marriage year.

There is an unsourced marriage of Paul Gramlich to a Catharine Knerr born abt. 1802 on Family Search. The above baptisms give credibility, but not proof, to this marriage.
There are two Paul Gramlichs in Northampton County during this period. One Paul (Kramlich) is born in 1754, married to Anna Maria Schumacher, died in 1829, and is buried in the Ziegels Union cemetery in Breinigsville, Lehigh County. This could possibly be a brother of George, the father of our Paul. Another Paul, and very likely the son of George and Anna Margareta, is found baptizing in with wife Catharine in Ziegel's Lutheran and Reformed Church in Northampton (later Lehigh) County.
As George was not mentioned in the 1823 will it is my belief that he died young prior to 1823. All other five sons are mentioned by name sp an early death is likely. A less likely scenario is an estrangement, causing him not to be mentioned in the will, but much less credible.
Another Montour County George Gramlich, this one neither the father or the son, appears on the 1850 census.

The only record of a Jacob Cromley found as of 1850 is on the 1850 Cooper, Montour County census born in Pennsylvania in 1795. This could very well be the son of George Cromley mentioned in his will. It appears he is living with a son and may have a young wife or was simply enumerated with another daughter. Some of the surnames are transcribed as Connley (see below), but on checking the original all are Cromley. No record of a Jacob Cromley born in 1795 in Pennsylvania was found on a nationwide search on the 1860 census under the spelling Cromley or Cromlich.

The unusual spelling of the daughter Ulian is turned into JuliaAnn on some online trees, but without any sources. The spelling is clearly Ulian, spelled out in a clear hand twice in the will of George Cromley.

In searching for a marriage for the two unmarried daughters of George Gramlich -Mary and Margaret- I received the following correspondence from the Montour County Genealogical Society in 2016. While most of these marriages do not relate to the children of George Cromley they are, nevertheless, connected with the general Cromley family in the county. For example, Lena is listed as the daughter of Paul Cromley, and thus probably a grandaughter of George.

RESEARCH NOTES FOR CHRISTINA CROMLEY
The source for the marriage of Christiann Gramlich/Cromley to Daniel Ande is from the following details in the will of her father George Cremlich/Cromlish of Hemlock Twp., Columbia County, dated 15 Aug 1823. Letters of Administration were granted 08 Sep 1823. Included in the will are wife Margarate and sons Paul, John, Daniel, Peter, and daughters Mary, Julia, Margarate, Betsy, wife of Philip Kinder, Magdalen, wife of Jacob Kuntz, Christina, wife of Daniel Andy, Catharine, wife of Daniel Mowery.
As this couple was found married by the 1823 will of Christiann's father, a 'bef 1805' birth date for both of them has been entered, which is the latest they could have been born to be of age as a married couple in 1823.
Confirmation of this marriage are the headstones of Daniel Ande and Christiann Ande in the Katys Churchyard, Columbia County, Pennsylvania. This is the source for the birthdates and deathdates. Christiann is listed as the 'wife of Daniel'. The presumed place of death is Columbia County.
The source for the birth year of Christiann is finding this couple in Madison, Columbia County on the 1860 census in which Christiann is listed as age 62.

Watch - there is a George Crumley from Germany, thought to be the son of a Valentine & Anna Maria Shumaker, who settled in Tennessee. Be careful not to confuse records.. there's a ships record for an arrival of a George Cromly in 1766 - I think that might be THIS George, I'm fairly certain it is not our George.
