Obit– Burial Record, “George Zweyer a resident of the Oley hills, died 12/30/1769, of old age and asthma; buried 1/1/1770, in the church graveyard.
"After a visit to the Balley Church of 6/14/1992 the gravestone is no longer standing or in the old church graveyard which was unkept for many years and is now being restored. The Goshenhoppen Registers said that he was buried in the church graveyard."

December 20, 1769 - February 3, 1770.
To wife Juliana, my dwelling place and all moveable goods, for the time of her life, for bringing up of my young children.
To eldest son Steffanus £5, having already rec'd. great help from me.
To dau. Agatha £15 after wife's death.
To daus Maria and Juliana £15 each after wife's decease.
At wife's decease, all my land I give to son Joseph, he paying to my other sons, viz, Johannes, Balthasar, Johan Adam, Anthony and Thomas, £40 each.

In the name of God amen
I am George Zweyer of the township of Rockland in the county of Berks in Pennsylvania being weak and sick and body yet god be thanked of good understanding and memory and calling to the mind the mortality of man do therefore hereby make my last will and testament and distribute my worldly goods in the following manner that is to say
Firstly I recommend my immortal soul into the hands of the great and merciful God who gave the same to me and my body in a Christian like manner to be buried in the earth where it was taken that all my just that Shelby paid out of my personal state by my executor who shall be here after named.
2. It is my will and I order that my beloved wife Julianna Zweyer shall have in full possession my dwelling place together with all movable goods of what name so ever they may be for the whole time of her life and at her discretion therewith to do as she thinks best for the bringing up of my young children and to be in stead of her third part of my estate until they attain to their full address yet reserving that my land and Plantation shall not be ruined by her during her full time of life.
3. I give and bequeath to my so Steffanus Zweyer as the eldest of my sons the sum of 5 pounds current many of Pennsylvania as his school portion of my estate to Hammond is yours forever because he has hereto for received great help from me during my life.
4. I give and bequeath to my daughter Agatha the sum of fifteen pounds current money of Pennsylvania as her full portion of my estate to her and her heirs forever to be paid after my wife's death.
5. I give and bequeath to my daughter Maria the sum of fifteen pounds current money of Pennsylvania as her full portion of my estate to her and her heirs forever to be paid after my wife's death.
6. I give and bequeath to my daughter Julianna the sum of fifteen pounds current money of Pennsylvania as her full portion of my estate to her and her heirs forever to be paid after my wife's death.
7. It is my will that as soon as my wife shall die I say from and after such time I give and devise all my land and plantation in the township and county aforesaid adjoining on the north side to Michael Siegfried's land on the east side to Abraham Peters land and on the south side to the furnace land to my son Joseph Zweyer to have and to hold to him my son and to his heirs and assigns forever yet with this condition that he shall pay the following bequests to my son's namely

Cemetery notes and/or description:St. Paul's Mission (The Most Blessed Sacrament Church) located in Bally, Pennsylvania. Most of the older tombstones were washed away during the hurricane rain flooding of the 1950s. "Possible Hurricane Diane in 1955?" Most tombstones were washed down the creek. Only some of the tombstones today survive. The older wall was torn down around the cemetery in the 1960s. It was quite a large cemetery once behind the Chapel. The newer cemetery is located on the other North side of the street. The Mission of Goshenhoppen (old name "Churchville") in Washington Township, Berks Co., was founded in 1741 by Father Theodore Schneider and was the first Catholic settlement outside of Philadelphia; today called ("Bally, PA") after Fr. Bally. In Bally, PA Take Main Street then take South 7th Street and turn south onto Pine St. A very large cemetery is located across the street just west of this Church.
