He was an agriculturalist and metalsmith, In the early deeds of Northumberland Co., Pa., his name was  spelled Angst or "Aungst" or"Aunkst”.

1792 - Mary Zweyer was born
her marriage record tells us she was the daughter of Joseph & Catharine Zweyer

August 22 1809 - Marriage
While still residing in Berks Co., Pa., Daniel Angst, married Mary Zweyer on Aug. 22, 1809, in St. Paul's  Roman Catholic Church, now the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, Bally, Berks Co. Pa. 

The marriage record, as it appears in the Goshenhoppen Registers
Church of the Blessed Sacrament, reads:

 "8-22-1809; Angst-Zweyer, Daniel, son of Daniel and Elizabeth Angst, and Mary, daughter of Joseph and Catherine Zweyer; witnesses: David Stewart and Catherine Zweyer. David Stewart married Juliana Zweyer, sister of Mary Zweyer Angst."  

1810 - Daughter Born

1811 - Daughter Catherine Aunkst born


Catherine married Ruben Stewart in June 1833
Note that Delaware Twp was not formed until 1843.

Possibly Daniel Served in the War Of 1812
He served in Captain Robert McGuigan's Company, l23rd Reg. PM., 2nd Brig.,9th
Division,. Northumberland Co., Pa., War of 1812, 

The book The Angst Family" by Straub Baker Aunkst, cites this service, but I have not yet found any record of it myself.

1815 - Daughter Elizabeth Aunkst was born

Where is Daniel?

1860  - An Action Of Ejectment
In In August of 1860, David was in court, being sued by his father, Daniel.
  According to the Sunbury Gazette:
Daniel Aungst vs. David Aungst.-An Action of Ejectment,
The Plaintiff contended that he was owner of a tract of land in Delaware township; and the Defend't, who is son, believing in the principle of squatterism, took possession of it, and would not obey the parental injunction to leave. Hence action. Verdict for Defendant. Lawson and Brown for Plaintiff; Pollock and Bound Defendant.

Note - that would be James Pollock of Milton, who would become Governor in 1861, and Franklin Bound for whom Bound avenue in Milton was named  -  Senator from 1885-1889.

1865 - Death
He is buried in St John's Union Lutheran Cemetery
