There is another Abigail Thorne, born in 1746 to Thomas & Elizabeth Thorne, who appears to have married a William Cook.  They lived in England.

Another, unsourced record for Abigail -
Abigail Thorn, b. ca.1745, d. 22 Nov. 1815, aged 70 years, a member of the family of Samuel Thorn, of Cortlandt Manor. She was possibly related in some way to her husband’s stepmother, Catharine (Van Wyck) (Ter Boss) Hegeman, whose mother was a Thorne.

Before 1760 - Daughter Phoebe Thorn is born
She married Ezekiel Palen  in 1774 and they had a son Joseph in 1778.

Marriage 4 Aug 1774 • Poughkeepsie (The Flats), Dutchess, New York, U

Ezekiel Palen, son of Petrus "Peter" Palen and Elizabeth Ploeg.

Born: 21 Jan. 1748 in Dutchess County, New York.

Christened: 2 Oct. 1748 in Reformed Dutch Church, Kingston, Ulster, New York

Married: 4 Aug. 1773 to Phoebe Thorn in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess, New York.SA

Ezekiel Palen's will went to probate in 1809
and he named his wife Phebe, and his children:
Peter Palen, Joseph Palen, Gilbert E Palen, Jonathon Palen, John Palen, Catharine Palen, Elizabeth Palen.
He mentions that Peter is his eldest.

19 April 1778 in the Dutch Church of New Hackensack.
“Francis Hagemen and his wife,” at that of Joseph, son of Ezekiel and Phoebe (Thorn) Palen

1771 - The Baptistm of Stephen Monfort
16 June 1771, Dutch Church of Poughkeepsie
“Frenck Hegeman” and “Ebbe Thorn” served as sponsors at the baptism of Stephen, son of Peter and Ann (Thorn) Monfort

Based on this, I am speculating that Ann & Abigail are sisters, along with "Ebbe" - Phoebe Thorne.

PURE speculation at this point, and just a starting point for my research.

Research:
continue to look for records in
the Church Records -New Hackensack reformed Dutch Church; 1757-1906; denomination Reformed Dutch,

From A Genealogy.com Forum -

My line Hagerman/Hagaman Francis Hagerman married to Abigail Thorne & came to NJ from NY & the line from Long Island into NJ.I have 2 lines that connect to Francis Hagerman- dau Anna Nancy Hagerman married my James Brugler and Francis Hagerman's son Joseph Hagerman married Susanna Labar and their dau Rachel Hagerman married Peter Brugler (son of James). This is the first connection to the Thorne family.

Joseph Thorne (1642-1728) of Flushing Long Island was married to Mary Bowne daughter of John Bowne & Hannah Feake. (& I have that line back)Their line through 2 sons ended up in NJ as well. Their daughter Mary Thorne was married to John R. Shotwell Jr. Joseph Thorne was a son of William Thorne and Susanna Booth. This Joseph Thorne came toWoodbridge NJ and they had 7 known children (Quaker records)
