1905- Daughter Louisa Lydia Confer is born
November 8 1905
She married first George Zeigler, second George Heddings & 3rd Harry Reitenbach
In 1920 she is age 14. She lives at home on Sunbury St, Northumberland Pa, and works at the silk mill.
In 1930 she's married to George Zeigler, and listed as a seamstress.  They live on Grand street in Danville Pa.  According to George's death certificate, he was the son of son of Harry & Anna (Pursel) Ziegler.  George Ziegler died in 1962 and is buried in the White Deer Cemetery.

The 1880 Census shows George Heddings, age 2, with his parents Charles & Fieta"Heddens", in Liberty Twp, Montour County PA.  Family Search has the marriage record for George and his first wife, Una Snyder.  They married on May 25th 1904.   George and Una had 4 children - Grace Elizabeth, George Jr (Died at one week old), Martha May, and Edwin.  Una died in 1938.  I'm not sure what year George remarried to Lydia, but they are found together, unmarried, in the 1940 census.  George is listed as a widower, Lydia Zeigler is listed as married, and as housekeeper.   Lydia would have been one year older than George's oldest child, Grace Elizabeth Heddings (who married Dan's great uncle, Clyde Ernest Brown - brother of Dan's grandmother, Thelma (Brown) Truckenmiller). George died on April 10 1963, age 85.  His death certificate lists his spouse as Louisa Lydia Confer Heddings, and gives his mothers name as Feittia Derr.

Grace Heddings is the stepdaughter of Louisa (Confer) Heddings (sister of Heather's grandfather, Robert Confer). She married Clyde E. Brown, brother of Dan's grandmother Thelma Brown.

We don't know who the two boys are.

George Heddings At sawmill

"Original shed on Aunt Louise and Uncle Georges Sawmill. This a shed Uncle George built on property. There were a lot more of these sheds. Most of them are still there. " - Mary Shaffer

Louise then married, sometime before 1970, Harry Reitenbach. In the picture of their wedding, below, it looks like the photo may be dated December 1968?  In her brother Joe's obituary in June of 1970, she is listed as Louise Reitenbach.
Louise (Confer) with her 3rd husband, Harry Reitenbach

Aunt Louise was married to a Zeigler first, then she married George Heddings & he was a lot older than her. After he died she married a Reichenbach who was related to the Murrays. She never had children. After meals she would wipe plates off with her apron and then turn them upside down to be used again. Never saw her wash dishes. She had STACKS AND STACKS of comic books all over the house, and all kinds of knick knacks. - (As remembered by June (confer) Lewis)

Louisa died in August of 1979.
