Abt 1791 - Sarah  Zeisloft Was Born
She is thought to be the daughter of Heinrich & Hanna Zeisloft, but no source is given

Daniel & Anna Margaret (Labar) Weidman were the parents of John Weidman, the subject here, who married Sarah Zeisloft.  They also had a daughter, Martha Magdalena Weidman - sister to our John.  Magdalena Weidman married Jacob Zeisloft, thought to be the brother of Sarah Zeisloft who married our John Weidman.  If this is all accurate, and Sarah is the daughter of Heinrich and Hanna, this is another DAR eligible line - Heinrich served in the Revolutionary War.  "Some suspect that the above Jacob (bn. ca. 1791) who moved to Columbia Co. was the son of Mathias Zeisloft.This Jacob married Magdalene Weidman (Oct. 23, 1794 in UMB-1886) daughter of Daniel & Anna Margaret Weidman."

1812 -  John Weidman Married Sarah Zeisloft
an old letter from a Weidman historian according to Marsha Senyk) says that they were married at Factoryville, Washington Twp., Northampton Co. This community is 2 1/2 miles south of Bangor along Martin's Creek at the intersection of State roads T 667 and T 680.

John T. Humphrey's "Early Families of Northampton Co., PA," Vol. 2, "Repsher/Dietrich," 1991 states that John Weidman married Sarah Zeisloft.

===============================================================

Children of John & Sarah Hannah Zeisloft:
I think that Lewis is John Luther Weidman, born July 1835, married Rebecca Mann.

Both Jesse or "Jepe" & Lewis are listed in John's will, but I can find no baptismal record for them.  Lewis is specified as "My son", but Jepe is not.

"My son Lewis Wideman shall have his full share and one Sorrel mare and Bay yearling colt, three yearling colt, or Bay Stud Horse and the said Lewis shall be deducted out of his share for said Horses, fifteen dollars and receive no money from me as Guardian, Jepe (Jesse) Wideman shall have his full share and the yearling Sorrel Colt for money received as guardian for him,"

Both J.H. Battle's "History of Columbia & Montour Co., PA," Chicago: A. Warner & Co., 1915, p. 184 and J.H. Battle's "Columbia & Montour Co., PA," Chicago: J.H. Beers Co., 1915, Vol. III, p. 935 state that Catherine (Weidman) Hagerman's parents were John & Hannah Weidman of Northampto
n Co. who died 1840 and 1870 respectively.
