Christian Mauser was born March 8, 1779, and died May 27, 1866. He married Catherine Sechler, who was born April 21, 1786, and died Dec. 20, 1862. They lived on the old homestead, where Mr. Mauser followed farming. Their children were: Joseph, who married Lydia Fry; Betsey, wife of John Krumm; Barbara, wife of Michael Wertman; John, who married Lydia Wertman; Michael, who married Catherine Wertman; Jacob, who married Catherine Krumm; William, who married Maria Fry; Maria, who married Michael Wertman; Fanny, who married Thomas Cole; Molly, wife of Edmund White; and Catherine, wife of Thomas Cole. - Historical and biographical annals of Columbia and Montour counties

Emanuel Mauser, born 1840, was first married to Margaret [surname unknown], who was born ca. 1836 in Pennsylvania; they had two children, Annie J. born ca. 1865, and William E. born 12 Jun 1869.
After the death of Margaret, Emanuel second married Mary Elizabeth "Lib" Weidenhamer, and they had one daughter, Lydia Mae, born June 1873.
Emanuel was a farmer; his death occurred as a result of a farming accident. He died November 1887 and is buried in Washingtonville, Montour County Pa.
