Elizabeth Lytle 1830-1914 married Elias Mook. Elias & Elizabeth's son John Mook married Mary Alice Oberdorf (daughter of Alexander & Sarah (Lytle) Aikey) after her first husband committed suicide. Elizabeth was the daughter of unknown & Catherine (Marshall) Leidle) The way these families intermarried, there's likely to be some connection, but I haven't had much luck tracing the Lytle's at all.

It's possible that the C Lytle here is Catherine Marshall Lytle. Catherine was the mother of Elizabeth Lytle who married John Mook.
I found this death record for Samuel Edward Lytle, whom I believe is the SE age 2 in the census above. His father is listed as John G (see J G above) and Sarah Catherine Marshall ( see SC above).

Nor is the SE that I believe may be our Sarah Elizabeth Lytle. The only child with them is a Barlery C., age 8. In 1870 Sarah Elizabeth would be just 10, and Samuel just 12 - that seems very young to have been sent out to work in other homes, but it's not impossible.

I went through the 1870 Census line by line looking for Sarah Elizabeth Lytle, in Buffalo Twp Union County. John G & Sarah Catherine Leidel are there, but Samuel Edward & Sarah Elizabeth are not.

Florance J. Aikey was born December 12 1891. She married Raymond Greaves, and died April 17 1983 in Ft Washington Pa. She is buried in Mazeppa Pa.

Sarah is easy to find in the census when married to Alexander, but before her marriage, and after his death, I cannot find her. I think it is possible she stayed with her children and moved from house to house, as was common at the time, in this time frame - but I don't know, and it's possible I am just missing her in the census, or that she somehow avoided being counted in 1930 & 1940.

Mrs Sarah Elizabeth Aikey, 91, died last night at 11:30 pm at the home of her son Frank Aikey, Mazeppa.
Mrs Aikey resided in Mazeppa for the past 28 years. She has been in poor health for the past 18 months but was not on bedfast. She was born May 6 1858.

Services for Mrs Sarah Elizabeth Aikey, 91, widow of Alexander Aikey, whose death occurred at the home of her son, Frank Aikey, Mazeppa, will be held tomorrow at 10am at the Dale E. Rank funeral parlors. The Rev. Glenn Aderhold will officiate. Internment will be at the White Deer Church Cemetery. Friends may call tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock at the parlors.

Research:
Sarah is not the daughter of Piersol Lytle - I've ruled that out.
She also is not the daughter of Samuel & Catherine Lytle - their daughter Sarah was 8 in 1850 - nearly 20 years older than our Sarah. I know women lie about their age, but Sarah was 90 when she died, an extra 20 years would put her well over 100 and so I find that unlikely.
